Well done to David Braziel for winning last night's Strabane Poetry Slam, in the Creative Spaces Project pop-up. 2014 has been quite a year for David, winning five slams in total and competing in the All Ireland Poetry Slam as one of the Ulster representatives. We wish him all the very best success in the future.
Purely Poetry is taking a break in the new year, which means there will not be a January event. However, we will be back as normal in the Crescent Arts Centre on Friday 6th February for another regular open mic night. In the meantime, remember that our Christmas Reading takes place this Thursday, 7.30pm at the Crescent. Our readers will be David Braziel, Olive Broderick, Tory Campbell, Erin Halliday, Nathaniel Joseph McAuley, Christopher McLaughlin, Geraldine O'Kane and Ross Thompson.
