Belfast launch: Eyewear's Best New British and Irish Poets 2017

Eyewear Publishing, Poetry NI and Waterstone's Belfast present the Belfast launch of Eyewear's Best New British and Irish Poets 2017 anthology.

Selected poets Susannah Dickey, Jo Erbacher, Joe Lines, Emma Must, Geraldine O'Kane and Matthew Rice will be reading on the night.

In the second annual anthology from Eyewear. poets were selected by guest judge Luke Kennard, from a competition opened to any poet of British or Irish citizenship and/or residency who has not yet published a full-length collection of poetry. Described as a “diverse and lively group of writers from across these isles represents the most interesting new voices writing in the English language today”, the anthology is a who’s who of names to watch out for in the years ahead. Copies will be available to purchase on the night.

There will also be a thirty minute open mic afterwards for people wanting to share a poem of their own, plus a chance to win a copy of the 2016 anthology!
